Rosemary and Garlic Infused Ghee

If there’s one thing we’re reclaiming this week, it’s fat—the right kinds, that is. And what better way to celebrate than by making our own herbal-infused ghee? This rosemary and garlic-infused ghee is not just a flavor-packed addition to your meals, but it’s also a nutrient powerhouse that helps you absorb fat-soluble vitamins, regulate cravings, and support digestion.


Bonus? It’s ridiculously easy to make.


Rosemary & Garlic Infused Ghee Recipe


Ingredients:


✅ 1 cup unsalted, grass-fed butter (or pre-made ghee)

✅ 2-3 fresh rosemary sprigs (or 1 tbsp dried)

✅ 2 cloves garlic, smashed

✅ ½ tsp sea salt (optional)


Instructions:


  1. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the butter. If using store-bought ghee, gently warm it.

  2. Once melted, skim off the white foam (milk solids) that rise to the top—this makes it even easier to digest.

  3. Add the rosemary sprigs and garlic to the pan. Let them gently infuse for 5-7 minutes on low heat, stirring occasionally.

  4. When the garlic turns golden and the rosemary is fragrant, remove from heat.

  5. Strain the ghee through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a glass jar. Discard the solids.

  6. Let it cool, then cover and store at room temperature for up to a month or in the fridge for 3 months.


Pro Tip: You can swap out rosemary for thyme, sage, or even turmeric to customize your infusion!
